Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform AV installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment/components setup, and rack fabrication and wiring.
  • •Lead and direct installation crews (internal or subcontracted) on large/complex projects and verify quality of work on site.
  • •Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints while using hand and power tools for installation work (soldering/crimping).
  • •Test and troubleshoot point-to-point cabling and system functionality, including control and DSP systems, and assist with minor programming changes.
  • •Coordinate with the Project Manager and other trades, manage tools/equipment on site, and provide client training as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •6–8 years of audiovisual/electronics installation experience.
  • •Advanced understanding of AV systems and equipment (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems).
  • •Advanced proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) including conduit runs and wiring methods.
  • •Expert troubleshooting skills for complex AV and network-integrated systems, including analyzing system logs/network traffic and using diagnostic tools.
  • •Valid and current AVIXA CTS-I General Certification; minimum a high school diploma/equivalent.
