Job Summary

Drive residential mortgage loan origination and cross-selling for Financial Center offices and external referrals. Own personal production from application through closing, and lead a team of at least five Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) through day-to-day management, coaching, performance feedback, and recruiting. Build referral relationships, set sales culture, and partner with Fulfillment Operations to increase closed volume while monitoring compliance, risk, and loan quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential mortgage loans from application through closing for personal production while meeting sales and cross-selling objectives.
•Manage a team of at least 5 MLOs, including performance feedback, coaching, performance management, and commission administration.
•Build strategic and tactical plans, hold business plan reviews, and drive individual and team production using reporting and KPIs.
•Develop and foster referral source relationships and relationships with Financial Center personnel to build business and referrals.
•Ensure compliance and risk accountability, monitor loan quality, and act as an intermediary with processing and underwriting managers.

Key Requirements

•2-4 years residential mortgage sales experience required.
•In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines; knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Lead by example with integrity and demonstrated leadership, organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills.
•PC proficiency in Windows tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with mortgage origination systems and automated decisioning tools; S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at employment time.
