Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify legal issues impacting Pharmacy Operations and advise business leaders for informed decisions.
  • •Provide timely legal review and advice for Pharmacy Operations, including coordination with parties outside Machinify to support recovery efforts.
  • •Monitor and interpret applicable laws and guidance from CMS, state insurance departments, and other governing bodies.
  • •Identify potential legal risks in pharmacy operations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • •Manage litigation and disputes related to pharmacy recoveries, coordinating with outside counsel when necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Kentucky, in good standing.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or insurance law.
  • •Familiarity with Coordination of Benefits (COB), pharmacy benefit management, and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ERISA, CMS guidelines).
  • •Ability to handle disputed settlement negotiations and participate in litigation.
  • •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
