Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, calibrate, validate, and interpret hydrologic and hydraulic models for flood assessment and water resources projects.
  • •Conduct rainfall-runoff analysis, river hydraulic studies, floodplain mapping, drainage design, and watershed modelling.
  • •Perform Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), flood hazard studies, urban stormwater investigations, and river engineering assessments.
  • •Process and analyze geospatial datasets (e.g., DEM processing, terrain analysis, catchment delineation) to produce GIS deliverables and flood hazard/risk maps.
  • •Prepare technical reports, GIS outputs, and project documentation; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams; and support proposals, field investigations, and stakeholder meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree (ME/MTech) in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •4-5 years of professional experience in Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Water Resources Engineering.
  • •Proven experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling applications, including HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D).
  • •Knowledge of hydraulic and integrated modelling platforms such as MIKE FLOOD, MIKE 21, MIKE SHE, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, or Delft3D.
  • •Strong geospatial skills (e.g., ArcGIS/QGIS) and familiarity with LiDAR/satellite imagery, terrain modelling, and geospatial data processing.
