Job Summary

BIM Technician manages BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical and Sanitary (Hydraulic) services using Revit MEP and CAD, coordinating drawing strategy and production with project engineers and managers. You’ll lead model setup, work-sharing, and resource planning, ensuring adherence to standards while mentoring CAD/BIM staff and adopting new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage small, medium and large BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical and Sanitary (Hydraulic) services using Revit MEP and CAD, agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings with the project engineer and suggesting efficient production methods.
•Assist CAD/BIM Manager or Lead BIM Coordinator in estimation and costing of CAD/BIM projects based on client inputs.
•Assist CAD/BIM Manager or Lead BIM Coordinator in agreeing project schedule and delivery program.
•Set up BIM models to project standards and liaise with Model Managers, Lead BIM Coordinator and team members.
•Create work sets and work-sharing methodologies in Revit models.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent
•Typically, 5+ years' experience
•Strong technical expertise across a broad range of projects
•High proficiency in applying BIM protocols and CAD/BIM standards
•Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
