Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards
  • •Maintain accurate, compliant DOT logs and documentation
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including freight handling and working outdoors
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean and operational

Key Requirements

  • •21+ years old with a valid state-issued driver’s license
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet Driver Safety Evaluation criteria
  • •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform load securement tasks (secure, block, restrain) including repetitive chain/binder/strap work
  • •2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (military heavy/medium tactical experience considered) OR 2+ years CMV driving experience at CarMax
  • •Ability to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements and work outdoors in inclement weather
