Job Summary

Support Zurich’s Strategy function in Köln by helping formulate, further develop, and implement the corporate strategy and strategic planning process. Partner with the Head of Strategy and leaders across business areas to drive strategic topics. Analyze market and competitor developments, derive initiatives to strengthen competitiveness, and oversee strategy implementation controlling, business cases, and milestone tracking to ensure long-term readiness for Zurich Group Germany.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the Strategy department in Köln with corporate strategy formulation, development, and implementation, including strategic planning.
•Collaborate with the Head of Strategy and leaders across business units to advance strategic topics.
•Analyze market and competitor developments and derive measures to sustainably strengthen competitiveness.
•Control strategy implementation, create and review business cases, and monitor milestones.
•Focus on cross-functional strategic initiatives and support operational execution to secure the future viability of Zurich Group Germany.

Key Requirements

•Confident presence, strong communication, and ability to drive outcomes and negotiate with diverse stakeholders up to top management.
•Strategic and conceptual thinking with a hands-on mentality, plus proven experience managing complex large-scale projects.
•Degree in (business) mathematics, economics, or a comparable qualification.
•Multi-year professional experience in an insurance company or strategy consulting, including solid experience with quantitative business analysis.
•Strong numerical understanding, analytical skills, and very good English (written and spoken).
