Job Summary

Lead a centralized commercial credit team responsible for underwriting and approving business purpose and commercial real estate loans within established line-of-business parameters. Review complex credit evaluations, guide credit officers’ work through feedback and training, and ensure decisions comply with policy and regulations. Support revenue growth by identifying and managing credit risk and alternative lending structures, while serving as a resource on the bank’s commercial lending policy.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a centralized commercial credit team, managing daily activities and monitoring workflow to meet customer needs.
•Evaluate financial statements and prepare independent written credit evaluations for complex business loans and relationships, recommending approval or decline.
•Review credit officers’ work products and provide feedback to ensure consistent underwriting analyses and decision-making.
•Train and coach credit officers on underwriting and risk topics including financial analysis, loan structure, risk rating, monitored lines of credit, and global cash flows.
•Serve as a resource on the organization’s commercial lending policy and provide approval concurrence for exposures outside a credit officer’s authority.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field.
•7+ years of banking experience with emphasis in credit analysis or commercial banking.
•Prior management experience preferred.
•Prior loan approval authority highly preferred.
•Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
