Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out inspection, preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other civil structures.
  • •Perform and coordinate structural analysis and design.
  • •Manage bridge engineering projects, coordinate design teams, and support project management and technical teams across WSP.
  • •Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, contract documents and reports, including tender forms and quantity take-offs.
  • •Provide QA/QC and peer-review services, review shop drawings, and support construction with engineering guidance; undertake bridge inspections, assessments and reports.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 89,200 - 130,800

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Civil Engineering.
  • •Professional Engineer licensed with PEO with 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada.
  • •Working knowledge of structural analysis software used in civil design and assessment.
  • •Working knowledge of the planning, preliminary and detail design, and construction of bridges (standard and complex geometry) and culverts.
  • •Working knowledge of current Canadian design codes and standards, including experience with inspection, assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures.
