Own the end-to-end architecture of Forward’s security technology stack across AppSec, SecOps, and GRC. Key Responsibilities

•Own the end-to-end architecture of Forward’s security technology stack across platforms, tooling, data pipelines, and integrations for AppSec, SecOps, and GRC.
•Set technical direction for evaluating, integrating, standardizing, and retiring security tools; define reference architectures and standards.
•Act as the shared technical foundation across security functions to help embed testing into software delivery, provide reliable detection data, and support compliance evidence/reporting.
•Partner with Engineering/IT/Infrastructure to build security into shared platforms (AWS, identity, CI/CD, endpoints, and SaaS) so security is native.
•Architect centralized logging/detection data foundations (SIEM/pipelines) and identity governance/RBAC automation; support major incidents and mentor engineers across the security org.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Typically 7+ years in security engineering, security architecture, detection engineering, or security operations across multiple security domains.
•Demonstrated experience shaping security technology stack architecture (platforms, data, controls), not just operating a single tool.
•Deep, hands-on cloud security expertise with AWS, including IAM, network architecture, control plane monitoring, and infrastructure log analysis.
•Track record integrating security tooling and controls into broader Engineering/IT ecosystems (CI/CD, identity, endpoints, SaaS).
•Fluency across at least two of AppSec, SecOps, and GRC, with working knowledge of security frameworks (CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
