Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction and heavy equipment, and customer assets. Operate machinery for testing, remove and replace ignition systems, and integrate communication between keypads and telematics. Diagnose and resolve installation issues across basic to complex scenarios involving wiring harnesses and CAN network access. Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards around the region and sometimes work evenings/weekends with on-call scheduling and overtime.

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Test installations by operating machinery as needed.
•Remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad/controller, then integrate keypad-to-telematics communication.
•Handle installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex custom wiring harness work for CAN network access.
•Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards across the region and sometimes work outside business hours/on weekends.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools; hard-working, eager to learn, and detail-oriented.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) and/or mobile electronics/automotive electronics experience.
•Ability to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, walk long distances, and lift more than 25 lb.
•Must be open to traveling within a 250 mile radius for up to a week at a time and pass a background check (10 panel drug screen may be required).
