Job Summary

A senior leadership role leading aviation engineering delivery and business growth for AECOM in Queensland. You will drive multi-disciplinary aviation projects, manage client relationships (airports and defence portfolios), lead proposal development, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and collaborate with Civil, Electrical and Structural leads while contributing to the global Aviation Technical Practice network.

•Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to target and secure new aviation work across Queensland.
•Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, including international and regional airports and ADF/NZDF stakeholders.
•Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, tenders, and expressions of interest for commercial and defence aviation projects.
•Take overall responsibility for the successful and profitable delivery of complex aviation projects, on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
•Coordinate with Civil, Electrical and Structural leads to integrate multi-disciplinary inputs into aviation projects.

Key Requirements

•Ideally 15+ years’ experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, pavement condition assessment and evaluation.
•Experience with commercial airport clients (international or regional) and/or the Defence sector (ADF/NZDF), including procurement, security and technical requirements.
•Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and managing a technical project delivery team.
•A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field; Chartered Engineer / RPEQ is highly desirable.
•Comprehensive knowledge of CASA, FAA, IATA and ICAO standards and guidelines.
