Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide telecommunications inspection support to engineers, project managers, and construction management teams to verify compliance with design requirements, specifications, and utility standards.
  • •Perform field inspections of telecommunications systems for transmission and substation projects, evaluating workmanship, material quality, installation practices, and commissioning activities.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze project site and design data (drawings, schematics, technical specifications, testing records, GIS data) to support single and multi-site inspections.
  • •Generate accurate, detailed, and timely documentation including inspection reports, testing records, punch lists, and as-built verification using photos, calculations, and software/spreadsheets.
  • •Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and may act as the lead telecommunications inspector to resolve field issues, monitor progress and schedules, and document deficiencies and corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma (or equivalent) or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • •Minimum 9 years of relevant post-education experience with prior construction inspection experience.
  • •Knowledge of telecommunication facilities/installs such as microwave radio sites, fiber sites, collector stations, and optical amplifier sites.
  • •Ability to work in and around energized facilities and high-voltage substations; includes distribution/transmission circuits.
  • •Valid state driver’s license and strong technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, including safety compliance and record-keeping.
