Job Summary

Join aECOM's Dubai planning team to deliver sustainable urban solutions. You will prepare planning assessments, conduct policy analyses, and support multidisciplinary project teams on transport, energy, and infrastructure projects in the UAE, using GIS to visualize concepts and coordinating with clients and authorities to secure approvals. You will mentor junior team members in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare comprehensive planning assessments, due diligence reports, and development applications for transport, energy, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with UAE statutory planning requirements and local regulations
•Conduct research, policy analysis, and feasibility studies to inform project planning strategies and identify optimal approval pathways
•Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate planning inputs and ensure consistency across all project deliverables
•Engage with clients, stakeholders, and approval authorities to communicate planning recommendations clearly and professionally, managing expectations and addressing concerns
•Analyze spatial data and utilize GIS tools to support planning analysis, site assessments, and visualization of planning concepts

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a closely related discipline (such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science).
•2–4 years of professional urban planning experience, ideally gained within a planning consultancy or development organization.
•Experience within planning consultancy or development organization preferred.
•Proficiency with GIS and spatial data analysis.
•Knowledge of UAE statutory planning requirements and local regulations.
