Design and implement scalable, secure Azure data architectures across data warehousing, data lakes, and data mesh patterns. Define governance and security standards, integrate diverse data types, and drive AI/ML and generative AI capabilities with platforms like Azure OpenAI and Fabric AI workloads, while mentoring the data engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement end-to-end data architecture using Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL, Databricks).
•Architect and optimize data warehousing, data mesh, and data lake solutions for both batch and real-time processing.
•Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards aligned to enterprise policies.
•Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
•Drive adoption of AI/ML and generative AI capabilities and lead performance tuning, monitoring, and operational support of the data platform while mentoring engineers and analysts.

Key Requirements

•8+ years in data engineering or architecture roles.
•Strong experience with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL DB, SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, Azure Databricks/PySpark).
•Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling, partitioning, indexing, slowly changing dimensions).
•Hands-on data lake architecture, schema evolution, and Delta Lake.
•Experience with AI/ML and generative AI integration (OpenAI/Azure ML/LangChain) and real-time processing using Kafka or Azure Event Hub.
