Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, investigate, and manage risk and mitigation strategies for complex and large-loss claims impacting AirCover.
  • •Lead insurer and partner engagement for large loss claim reviews (monthly/quarterly), including carrier/TPA performance and reserve/coverage issues.
  • •Build resolution plans to drive complex claims toward settlement while addressing coverage issues and settlement authority.
  • •Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, GCM, Trust, brokers, insurers, outside counsel, TPAs) to manage emerging risks and improve claim handling.
  • •Mentor and upskill L6/L7 claims specialists, simplifying complex information and guiding complex cases while ensuring policy/procedure and legal compliance.

Salary: CAD 83,000 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of insurance claims coverage and litigation experience, emphasizing liability and property.
  • •Strong knowledge of complex claims resolution, including investigative methodologies and legal aspects of severe claims.
  • •Deep understanding of casualty and property insurance policies and claims, including legal/claims complexities (preferred).
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex, sensitive issues and present analyses to diverse stakeholders.
  • •BA/BS in a business or technical field (preferred).
