Job Summary

Create AutoCAD layouts and structural/drafting deliverables for utility-scale solar PV projects from development through construction support. Perform slope analysis and generate slope maps from site contours using AutoCAD Civil 3D, prepare bills of material, and use templates and guidelines to produce layout drawings. Collaborate with design and structural engineers to propose project designs, while managing multiple projects and following drafting/detailing standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Create AutoCAD layouts for solar power plants using NX tracker design.
•Perform slope analysis and generate slope maps using site contours in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
•Prepare bills of material for project layouts and drawings.
•Use templates and guidelines to create layout drawings and supporting documents.
•Prepare structural part drawings according to applicable standards and collaborate with design and structural engineers to propose project designs.

Key Requirements

•Through knowledge of AutoCAD 2D commands (or equivalent CAD environment).
•At least 2+ years of CAD detailing experience in the construction industry (solar industry preferred).
•Ability to prepare structural part drawings to standards and demonstrate good knowledge of drafting/detailing standards.
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
•Very good communication skills.
