Lead the architecture, development, and evolution of mission-critical backend platforms powering products at scale. Own complex systems spanning services, design scalable cloud-native architectures, and drive technical standards through architecture and design reviews. Build and operate core services/APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and measurable improvements in SLIs/SLOs, performance, and recovery. Mentor engineers, partner cross-functionally, and help shape long-term engineering direction.

•Own the architecture, design, and evolution of complex backend systems spanning multiple services and teams.
•Design scalable, loosely coupled, cloud-native architectures built for high transaction volumes and growth.
•Build and maintain core services and APIs; develop shared frameworks and tooling to improve team velocity.
•Drive reliability and operations for critical systems, including monitoring, alerting, incident investigations, and long-term corrective actions.
•Mentor engineers and partner with Product, R&D, and QA to translate requirements into secure, high-quality solutions.

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling backend systems or platforms.
•Strong backend engineering skills in Python, Go, or Java (or similar).
•Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, including query optimization, stored procedures, data modeling, and ETL.
•Experience designing RESTful APIs, JSON/XML-based integrations, and distributed system architectures.
•Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, plus resilient distributed systems (messaging, async processing, retries, idempotency, high availability).
