Key Responsibilities

  • •Rigs-up and rigs-down surface and downhole well logging equipment on work locations to record information about subsurface geologic formations.
  • •Operate and assemble well logging equipment, including electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools and pressure control equipment.
  • •Maintain, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on downhole and surface well logging equipment.
  • •Complete pre- and post-job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork/reports.
  • •Learn how to operate pressure control equipment and comply with safety and environmental procedures and quality improvement processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of high school or similar education and 6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant-L&P, II.
  • •Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in certain locations.
  • •Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required.
  • •Successful completion of water survival training may be required.
  • •Ability to perform basic math and demonstrate basic reading comprehension and writing skills; basic computer skills preferred.
