Job Summary

Provide technical design and CADD support for transportation, infrastructure, and other engineering projects. Generate accurate design-phase deliverables such as plans, profiles, models, sections, specifications, and material lists. Collect and analyze site and plan data, use 3D CADD tools with engineers to resolve design discrepancies, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations. Verify calculations and support review with multiple design versions.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support drafting and design activities.
•Use 3D CADD software and collaborate with engineers to resolve design details or discrepancies and prepare precise drawings.
•Create and verify design-phase deliverables (plans, profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists) that meet industry standards.
•Verify accuracy of calculations and design/change order interpretations; escalate differences, errors, or technical issues for resolution.
•Ensure designs and specifications comply with city, state, and federal regulations and support cross-functional project delivery.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•Minimum 7 years of relevant post-education experience with prior drafting and design support experience.
•Knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, and methods.
•Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
•Ability to make technical computations and accurately interpret plans and specifications to applicable standards.
