Job Summary

Perform ultrasound and related radiography examinations in line with clinical protocols, ensuring justified imaging, optimal patient positioning, and high-quality documentation. Prepare exam rooms and sterilized equipment, maintain equipment quality control and QA standards, and record patient histories and preliminary findings for radiologists or physicians. Support patient safety and comfort across ages, comply with radiation safety, infection control, and health & safety rules, and assist with emergency procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Organize and perform ultrasound examinations per accepted protocols; document high-quality images and practice good patient care.
•Check patient identity and ensure examinations are justified; review patient history and record supporting clinical information.
•Prepare exam rooms and select appropriate ultrasound equipment following sterilization, infectious disease, and patient safety protocols.
•Apply independent judgment during examinations; review images, synthesize results, and relay preliminary findings to the radiologist or physician.
•Maintain equipment and supplies, complete quality control and QA checks for ultrasound/x-ray equipment, and assist with emergency procedures while following radiation safety and infection control policies.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Radiography or its equivalent.
•Postgraduate Certificate in Ultrasonography (preferable).
•Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ultrasound, mammography and fluoroscopic procedures.
•Knowledge of health and safety measures and sound knowledge in radiation safety measures.
•Fluent written and spoken English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage) with competent computer skills.
