Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare the monthly and quarterly close for DTC memberships and imaging/scan services, including revenue journal entries, deferred revenue schedules, and reconciliations to a fixed close calendar.
  • •Analyze financial results and investigate fluctuations, providing clear explanations for balance sheet and income statement variances.
  • •Investigate revenue data quality issues across systems, tracing to root cause and partnering with data engineering and product teams to fix at the source.
  • •Support the Rillet integration from the accounting side by mapping data flows, testing configurations, and helping define system needs for a clean, auditable close.
  • •Reconcile revenue and payment data (including Stripe transaction detail) to identify and resolve discrepancies between subledgers, payment processors, and the general ledger.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of accounting experience with exposure to revenue accounting; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • •Comfort working through messy, undocumented data and immature systems without waiting for perfect processes.
  • •Experience performing month-end close, account reconciliations, and flux/variance analysis independently with minimal oversight.
  • •Solid understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition for service-based and subscription revenue models.
