Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and execute substation/transmission project activities, managing resource requirements, priorities, investment plans, and internal/external resource needs.
  • •Oversee project budgets, O&M and Capital; analyze performance variances and initiate actions to control scope, schedule, and cost.
  • •Approach work proactively to ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved; approve project plans and authorize expenditures.
  • •Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, external contractors, departments, consultants, attorneys, utilities, and permitting/regulatory/government agencies.
  • •Lead project control and reporting, including scheduling and cost controlling/reporting processes, and provide reports to executive management on cost-schedule-risk views.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors' degree in Engineering with 7-10 years of relevant energy industry experience, or 13+ years in the energy industry.
  • •Expert in integrating scheduling tools and software, specifically MS Project and/or Primavera, with costs and resource requirements.
  • •Expert in risk management and mitigation plans, including risk control utilization and mitigation action analysis.
  • •Expert in using MS Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and planning.
  • •Ability to mobilize and motivate team members to deliver projects on time and under budget; ability to supervise contractors.
  • •Proven experience obtaining siting permits and experience in contract negotiations and supplier management.
