Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain safe operations and compliance with all SHE policies and procedures within Kumba standards.
  • •Oversee intelligence collection processes, define and continuously update intelligence requirements, and provide expert briefings to senior leadership.
  • •Consult with group security intelligence and external partners; drive continuous improvement of intelligence practices.
  • •Investigate highly sensitive Ethics Committee cases that could cause severe reputational damage; develop periodic investigation reports and dashboards.
  • •Manage and lead a team of investigators (including contracted/outsourced investigators) and support threat prevention for industrial espionage, illegal eavesdropping, and surveillance.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 / N3 Technical, with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Forensic investigations (NQF7).
  • •Registered with Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) A Grade.
  • •6–8 years of relevant experience in intelligence and investigations, preferably in the mining industry.
  • •Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with intelligence tools and techniques.
  • •Must have no criminal record and pass required assessments (including a polygraph test); firearms training and competence and SA Driver’s Licence Code B required.
