Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate school-wide attendance efforts and absenteeism prevention programming with prevention and intervention focus
  • •Monitor daily student adherence to attendance policies using student information systems, state systems, and company systems
  • •For lower-level cases, conduct outreach (emails, calls) and send auto-dial notices to target students
  • •For escalated and final level cases, hold meetings with students and families to identify barriers, develop back-on-track planning, and cover state law concerns for court
  • •Produce attendance/truancy reports for the school, county, and state and support students through referrals when service agencies are necessary

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree or specialized related training
  • •1 to 2 years of truancy experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • •Ability to pass required background check
  • •Knowledge of state school attendance laws and K-12 education-related laws
  • •Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel fluency, and strong written and verbal communication
