Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for middle school students in an online environment.
  • •Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and personalize learning to established goals.
  • •Use Stride K12’s learning management system to monitor progress, maintain gradebooks, and support placement and promotion decisions.
  • •Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches, provide timely support, and troubleshoot basic issues in a virtual classroom.
  • •Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and travel occasionally for required school functions and professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •Active state teaching license.
  • •Clear required background check.
  • •Ability to work independently 40+ hours per week and maintain a distraction-free home office during typical work hours.
  • •Required North Carolina middle school teaching certification.
