Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for Building Information Modeling (BIM) across substation design projects. Develop and continuously improve Substation BIM standards, workflows, and reusable content libraries, while offering BIM production support and quality assurance. Troubleshoot BIM software and workflow issues, coordinate BIM activities across teams and partners, and serve as a mentor and trainer for designers and BIM professionals. Support client BIM/CAD requirements and contribute to proposals, scoping, scheduling, and project execution planning.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Substation BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
•Provide BIM production support (modeling, drafting, design integration) and perform quality control reviews against standards and client requirements.
•Troubleshoot BIM software, application, and workflow issues to minimize schedule and deliverable impacts.
•Collaborate with clients to understand and implement client-specific BIM/CAD/digital delivery requirements and serve as a technical point of contact.
•Mentor, train, and lead knowledge-sharing for designers, drafters, and BIM professionals; support proposal and execution planning activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, BIM, Architecture, or Construction Management) or an Associate degree plus additional relevant experience.
•7-10 years of experience in BIM, CAD, design, or engineering support roles.
•2+ years supporting electric utility, power delivery, or substation projects.
•Demonstrated experience leading BIM standards development, implementation, and project execution.
•Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
