Job Summary

Apply in-depth electrical engineering best practices to improve McDermott’s electrical discipline. Solve complex electrical problems, act as a technical resource for less-experienced colleagues, and help drive design and project deliverables. Lead conceptual/FEED studies and detailed analyses, oversee electrical engineering workstreams, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors, and provide technical support through FAT/SAT, commissioning, start-up, and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed analyses/design per design basis, project specifications, and applicable standards.
•Prepare detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures.
•Lead project development and coordination for electrical engineering deliverables; supervise and coordinate electrical engineers and designers.
•Develop and support vendor packages for electrical equipment and materials; coordinate supplier document reviews and FAT activities.
•Provide site support, including off-site/on-site technical support and detailed assistance for SAT, pre-commissioning, energization, commissioning, and start-up.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another technical degree.
•Prefer PE certificate of registration (or an accredited engineering degree may be required by specific regions).
•8-15 years of detailed electrical engineering experience.
•Strong knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, and electrical standards/codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI).
•Intermediate experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
