Job Summary

Senior Structural Engineer sought to join WSP’s Bridge Structures Team in Chicago, leading design and analysis for load-bearing structures, including bridges and transportation facilities. You will perform design calculations, reviews, and project-specific analyses, mentor entry-level engineers, develop plans and reports, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and help manage budgets and schedules to deliver safe, code-compliant infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform engineering techniques on a variety of assignments for structural elements under supervision.
•Review submittals and shop drawings
•Prepare design calculations for projects.
•Prepare load ratings.
•Perform project-specific analyses.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience.
•Illinois SE license, or ability to obtain an Illinois SE license within 1 year
•Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues.
•Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including active involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and new design projects.
