Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement FPGA/processor firmware for high-performance motion control systems.
  • •Contribute to firmware architecture, FPGA partitioning, and real-time control implementation under technical leadership guidance.
  • •Design, develop, and review RTL modules, including PWM generation, current control loops, and encoder/resolver interfaces (BiSS, EnDat, SinCos).
  • •Develop acquisition logic and multi-clock domain designs, implement and optimize real-time motion control algorithms (FOC, torque/speed/position) with trajectory planning and deterministic performance.
  • •Integrate industrial communication interfaces, implement safety features per IEC 61508/ISO 13849 (including STO and fault detection), and collaborate on hardware bring-up, debugging, system integration, and verification while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in embedded firmware development for high-performance motion control systems (servo drives, robotics, industrial automation).
  • •Hands-on FPGA firmware development using VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog, including high-speed PWM/current loops and ADC/DAC interfaces.
  • •Experience with multi-clock domain design and timing closure, FPGA tool flows such as Vivado and/or Quartus, and target devices (e.g., Altera Max10, Cyclone 10, Agilex 3).
  • •Strong knowledge of motion control algorithms including FOC, torque/speed/position loops, trajectory planning, and sensor-less control techniques.
  • •Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as IO-Link, EtherCAT, CANopen, and PROFINET, plus hardware–firmware co-design (current sensing, gate driver interfaces, ADC timing, EMI mitigation, board bring-up).
