Job Summary

Join the Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge team to build, repair, inspect, and maintain precision tooling, gauges, fixtures, and dies that support aerospace production. Operate CNC and manual machining equipment, troubleshoot tooling performance issues, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability. Complete tooling work orders and maintain SAP documentation while following all safety, quality, and environmental requirements in a clean, organized shop area.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, repair, inspect, and maintain precision tooling, gauges, fixtures, and dies used in aerospace manufacturing.
•Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture and repair tooling.
•Troubleshoot tooling performance issues and perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
•Complete tooling work orders and maintain documentation using SAP while supporting tooling inventory and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements while keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (or completion of a technical program in Tool & Die, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related skilled trade).
•1+ years of relevant experience in tool and die/toolmaking, CNC or manual machining, precision machining, manufacturing, or maintenance of tooling and fixtures.
•1+ year(s) relevant experience in CMM programming, CNC programming, dimensional inspection, quality, or manufacturing support.
•Experience operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
•Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
