Key Responsibilities

  • •Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to safety; ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental requirements.
  • •Direct and oversee asphalt paving, utility, and asphalt plant operations to complete work safely, on schedule, within budget, and per quality standards.
  • •Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production schedules; set priorities, monitor performance, and improve productivity, quality, and profitability.
  • •Oversee daily asphalt plant operations including production planning, plant utilization, product quality, operating costs, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Recruit, coach, develop, and retain an operations team; conduct performance discussions and support succession planning and engagement.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferred bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent education/experience considered.
  • •10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, asphalt paving/production, utility construction, or related operations.
  • •5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple crews, projects, facilities, or operational business units.
  • •Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and operational performance measures.
  • •Strong knowledge of asphalt paving/plant operations and utility construction methods, plus Microsoft Office proficiency.
