Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of ECU-based control systems for powertrain technology.
  • •Contribute to testing, demonstration, and early customer deliveries of engine technologies.
  • •Collaborate in a Waterloo-based facility with hybrid/remote work options and portfolio-driven deliverables.
  • •Prepare and review portfolio of work for applying to role and advancing in the interview process.
  • •Work with multidisciplinary hardware teams to ensure robust engine performance and reliability.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •5+ years work experience in powertrain development and/or complex motion control systems.
  • •3+ years experience with development and training of AI/ML models.
  • •3+ years experience with National Instruments cRIO hardware and LabView; FPGA experience is a plus.
  • •3+ years experience in rapid prototyping engine controls development with flexible ECU platforms (Mahle Flexible ECU, Audesse FlexCase, or similar).
