Job Summary

Monitor and triage the initial stage of procurement engagement by receiving, evaluating, and routing business requests to the correct buying and payment channels. Ensure requests are complete, compliant with procurement and Third Party Risk requirements, and aligned to budgets and policies. Track and report key procurement metrics and SLA performance, drive intake process improvement, and collaborate with Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement Operations, and business stakeholders to improve end-user experience.

•Route and prioritize requests to the appropriate buying and payment channels and stakeholders based on type, urgency, and importance.
•Collaborate with Sourcing, Category Management, Third Party Risk, Procurement Operations, and business unit stakeholders to ensure smooth processing.
•Verify compliance with Northern Trust procurement policies, guidelines, and relevant Third Party Risk regulations.
•Track, report, and improve procurement engagement process performance against SLAs, including driving continued process improvement and standardization.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement related field (or equivalent education/work combination).
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
•Highly knowledgeable of procurement processes, payment channels, and vendor risk management standards, with versatility in Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
•Strong analytical, sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills.
•Advanced Excel and proficiency with MS Office; ERP/PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
