Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto safety standards including Critical Control Field Verifications, Safety Observations, and safety talks.
  • •Formulate and align short-term (weekly to monthly) ore mine plans with medium and long-range mine plans, and communicate plans with operations, supervisors, operators, and plant personnel.
  • •Perform ore blast hole stratigraphic logging and sampling, coordinate sample drop-offs with the onsite laboratory, and use assay results to support planning.
  • •Create ore blend plans to meet plant ore grade targets, maintain ore control information systems and record keeping, and manage crushed ore fragmentation system.
  • •Update ore dig maps with tons and grade using topographic survey data and mine operations load data; complete weekly/monthly reconciliation, and track ore stockpile tonnage and grade.
