Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes while obeying all traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Perform loading/unloading support by maneuvering truck/trailer into designated areas, following loading crew signals, and using specialized equipment as needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required delivery documentation (signed invoices, shipping bills of lading) and arrange trailers for optimum yard loading.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service (e.g., checking oil/water/gasoline/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or the appropriate chauffeur’s license for the vehicle weight being operated.
  • •Pass DOT physical and meet age requirement (must be at least 21) to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Pass background and drug testing, including a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive role.
  • •Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to meet physical demands, including lifting/moving up to 40 pounds, and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
