Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as an integral member of the Legal team and liaise with other departments to anticipate requirements.
  • •Provide legally sound guidance and support to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Support legal and contractual work across commercial contracting, product development, payments, sales and marketing.
  • •Handle substantive legal matters across commercial, payments, privacy, product, intellectual property, regulatory, contentious and corporate areas.
  • •Monitor and respond to statutory, regulatory and policy changes to reinforce compliance and internal policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Law qualification and admission as a solicitor/lawyer, ideally in Kenya, France or UK.
  • •Fluent spoken and written English and French.
  • •Demonstrable legal negotiation and drafting experience from a reputable law firm or similar in-house role.
  • •Minimum 4 years of post-qualification legal experience.
  • •Broad legal experience including commercial, payments, product and intellectual property.
