Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards using a company hauler.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including freight handling and working outdoors in all weather.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck, keeping equipment clean and operationally ready.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time while professionally interacting with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years, meeting CarMax Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (or 2+ years of CMV driving experience at CarMax).
  • •Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive load-securement tasks while meeting DOT/FMCSA load securement standards.
