Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, monitor, and inspect transmission equipment, substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, isolators, protection systems, and associated electrical assets.
  • •Conduct routine field inspections, detect abnormal conditions, and report equipment faults, alarms, leaks, overheating, and other operational issues.
  • •Execute authorized switching, isolation, and restoration activities in line with approved procedures, permits, and switching programs.
  • •Support preventive and corrective maintenance, including equipment isolation, testing, inspection, and safe restoration to service.
  • •Respond to equipment failures and emergency situations, troubleshoot and support system restoration, and maintain operational logs and documentation while coordinating with control room, engineering, and contractors.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
  • •3–7 years of experience in electrical transmission, substations, power generation, renewable energy, or utilities.
  • •Strong knowledge of HV/EHV electrical systems and substations, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
  • •Experience with shift-based operations and high-voltage switching (advantage).
  • •Knowledge of Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, switching, and electrical isolation procedures.
