Key Responsibilities

•Plan, perform, and document laboratory assessments of hardware and software for classified and unclassified DISN services to ensure proper connectivity between the DLA WAN, the DLA NOC, and DISA NOCs.
•Coordinate with government customer to create a Technology Assessment Plan (TAP) including objectives, scope, equipment, configurations, and procedures for the DLA LAN refresh and upgrades; include independent cost estimates when appropriate.
•Prepare After Action Reports (AAR) documenting approach, results, recommendations, and rationale.
•Identify new and emerging network capabilities and develop product evaluation/selection criteria; develop system evaluation methods and procedures.
•Produce formal documentation of recommendations for executive briefings and ensure interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN equipment/services.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
•5+ years of related network engineering experience
•Active Secret clearance with favorable Tier 5 investigation
•Current IAT Level III, CCNP-E, and CCSA certifications
•Experience with network design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in unclassified and classified environments
