Job Summary

Lead RAM engineering on UK rail projects, delivering BS EN 50126 RAM activities, reliability modeling, and risk management. Provide technical leadership to RAM and Safety Engineers, mentor junior staff, engage with clients and authorities, support tender submissions, and promote new techniques to improve efficiency within the SEIA group.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide RAM leadership and guidance to clients across rail projects, including RAM plans, functional analyses, reliability/availability predictions, FMECAs, FTA/RBAs, DRACAS and maintainability analyses.
•Deliver RAMS activities (BS EN 50126 RAM activities) and support proposal writing and future tender submissions.
•Cross-collaborate with team members to minimise project risks and enhance efficient delivery of projects.
•Project manage RAM staff and sub-contractors while mentoring junior RAM members and acting as the focal point for technical guidance.
•Promote innovation and the WSP RAMS offering through industry engagement and collaboration with professional engineering institutions.

Key Requirements

•A degree in a technical engineering discipline or extensive relevant experience.
•RAM engineering experience, preferably in rail.
•Professional membership with a recognized institution (e.g., SaRS, IET, IMechE) and Chartered Engineer status or significant progress toward it.
•Proven ability to provide technical leadership to a RAM/Safety engineering team.
•Experience supporting RAM/Safety engineering activities and presenting to clients/regulators in the UK and internationally.
