Job Summary

Drive a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver ready-mixed concrete to construction job sites. Load materials, operate the mixer and chute to place concrete, and clean and protect the truck after each delivery to prevent buildup. Inspect equipment and supplies, follow DOT rules, keep paperwork accurate, and drive safely and professionally—while assisting customers with placing and spreading concrete as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive a truck under the loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, concrete, and water and start the mixer.
•Transport and unload concrete mix at job sites by operating levers to release concrete via chute into the receiving container or pour area.
•Clean the truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening and spray protective compound to prevent adhering.
•Inspect truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels) and drive in a safe, courteous manner.
•Assemble ready-mix concrete chute as needed and periodically assist customers with placing and spreading concrete.

Key Requirements

•Possess a valid “Class B” CDL license and be able to pass a DOT physical and substance test.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Must follow DOT rules and regulations and keep paperwork in order.
•Ability to work alone and communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
