Key Responsibilities

•Lead the development and implementation of a standardized estimating framework across transmission and utility programs.
•Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing estimating team.
•Provide strategic oversight for cost planning, benchmarking, and estimate assurance.
•Drive integration between estimating, project controls, and commercial governance.
•Establish best-in-class estimating practices, including Basis of Estimate (BoE), cost benchmarking, and data governance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 140,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

•12–15+ years’ experience in estimating within transmission, power, or major infrastructure projects.
•Strong expertise in transmission lines and substations (overhead/underground HV systems, towers, line systems; transformers, breakers, protection & control).
•Proven experience building or transforming estimating functions and frameworks.
•Strong understanding of CAPEX project delivery, stage-gate estimating, and cost classifications (Class 5 → Class 1).
•Experience integrating estimating with project controls and risk management.
