Job Summary

Oversee daily Load & Haul (Rompad) operations within a designated work area, ensuring safe, efficient execution to meet shift production targets. Supervise operators and assistants, allocate and monitor equipment to minimize downtime, and run pre- and post-shift inspections and briefings. Identify operational issues and escalate as needed, liaise with maintenance teams for repairs, maintain accurate shift/equipment records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee daily operations of a designated work area within the Load and Haul section to meet shift production targets.
•Supervise operators and assistants to ensure effective execution of load and haul tasks in assigned areas.
•Allocate and monitor equipment use to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
•Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and briefings, communicating plans, safety alerts, and operational updates.
•Maintain accurate records of shift activities, equipment performance, and personnel attendance; liaise with maintenance/support teams to coordinate repairs and servicing.

Key Requirements

•3–5 years’ open-pit mining experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
•Diploma or Certificate in Mining, Mineral Science, or a related qualification.
•Valid Blasting License and First Aid Certificate; must hold a Driver’s License.
•Strong technical knowledge of heavy mining equipment operations (e.g., trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers).
•Good understanding of production scheduling, equipment utilization, and operational safety standards.
