Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop power systems and components for AMD reference platforms and customer production boards across multiple application types.
  • •Collaborate with silicon teams during APU bring-up and participate in issue debugging and resolution.
  • •Create power system specifications including power budgets, voltage/current requirements, and efficiency targets, and document technical design files.
  • •Execute schematic design, component selection, BOM cost control, and layout design guidance across the platform development lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of hands-on PWM power design experience in PC, consumer, telecom, or server products.
  • •Experience in power electronics design in a product development environment with silicon and board bring-up/debug.
  • •Proficiency with multi-buck, buck-boost, and other DC-DC topology concepts.
  • •Experience using simulation tools such as SPICE, PLECS, or MATLAB/Simulink for power circuit analysis and design.
  • •Strong knowledge of PCB layout for power electronics and comfort with analog/digital mixed-signal, power integrity, EMI, and thermal design.
