Licensed Clinical Social Worker leading suicide prevention initiatives across SOF units, serving as policy expert, program implementer, and clinical resource to support readiness and psychological well‑being of service members and families.

Job Function: Executive & General Management

Key Responsibilities

•Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and other professional activities as directed by unit leadership.
•Review applied research and incorporate best practices into suicide prevention policy, programming, and initiatives across the component.
•Apply social work procedures and techniques including interviewing and behavioral assessment in evaluation and treatment of psychological disorders.
•Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required.
•Participate in military-specific training and activities (e.g., security clearances, deployment screening, PTSD, combat stress) as directed by the unit Commander.
•Provide clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees.

Key Requirements

•Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent from a CSWE-accredited program
•Minimum of two (2) years peer-reviewed clinical social work experience in a mental health setting

•Experience applying social work procedures including interviewing and behavioral assessment
