Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements.
  • •Review material in WIP, certify operators, disposition out-of-flow material, and perform hands-on processing for novel detector designs.
  • •Provide process ownership of vacuum coating, etch, or lithography tools to improve performance.
  • •Develop requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurements.
  • •Work in a cleanroom environment and coordinate with process engineers, skilled technicians, and cross-functional teams to improve fab performance using defined metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or process engineering in optics, electro-optics, or microelectronics/wafer processing.
  • •Technical proficiency in semiconductor fabrication processes including lithography, deposition, furnace, dry etch, wet etch, and metrology.
  • •Experience improving semiconductor processes for yield, throughput, and safety, including process development and improvement project leadership.
  • •Comfort interfacing with multiple functions such as Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality, Mechanical Design Engineering, Factory Management, Equipment Engineering, and Process Engineering.
