Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver education and counseling (including one-on-one counseling, consultations, and briefings/presentations) and provide referral resources when appropriate.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including pre- and post-deployment and other lifecycle topics.
  • •Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing trends and issues.
  • •Participate in in-services/training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
