Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the release process end to end from engineering to production, ensuring drawings, BOMs, and specs are complete, approved, and released to manufacturing at the correct revision.
  • •Administer configuration and change management by administering ECOs and ECNs and controlling revision history for in-flight units, inventory, and supplier orders.
  • •Maintain BOM integrity across systems by ensuring the PLM system of record syncs cleanly to ERP and MES and that discrepancies are resolved.
  • •Gate release readiness using drawing checks, tolerance/spec completeness, long-lead procurement flags, and DFM feedback from the fab floor.
  • •Drive release communication across design, supply chain, quality, and production by publishing release schedules and change impacts so work doesn’t proceed on stale revisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Have owned release or configuration management for manufactured hardware made up of serialized modules (modules/vehicles/machinery or similar).
  • •Administer ECOs across live production and know how to disposition changes across units already in build, in inventory, and shipped, including effectivity decisions.
  • •Keep BOMs reconciled across as-designed, as-built, and as-maintained states, ensuring the sync stays correct through your process.
  • •Prevent immature releases from reaching the floor by catching incomplete drawings, missing tolerances, and unspecified requirements.
  • •Work cross-disciplinarily so design, supply chain, quality, and production trust and align on revision state.
