Job Summary

Provide enterprise IT architecture leadership for SMBC’s digital transformation and modernization within the ITSD EU department. Design and implement hybrid multi-cloud strategies using Azure, GCP, and Databricks while developing architectural roadmaps and leading cross-functional collaboration across technology, data, and security teams.

•Collaborate with Security Architecture to embed security-by-design principles and conduct architectural risk assessments.
•Support architecture governance forums and produce architecture artefacts including design documentation and interface contracts.
•Design and implement hybrid multi-cloud strategies using Azure, GCP, and Databricks, and develop architectural roadmaps for business growth and innovation.

Salary: EUR 86,000 - 130,000 annually

•10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture roles within large, complex organizations.
•Proven leadership in enterprise architecture within financial services with strong regulatory and compliance knowledge.
•Ensure architectural decisions comply with EU regulations including GDPR and DORA, and UK operational resilience standards.
•Produce architecture artefacts such as logical and physical diagrams, interface contracts, and design documentation.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent working experience), plus enterprise architecture framework and cloud platform certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman; Azure, GCP).
